Ostriches are the largest birds in the world. Although they are large birds, they cannot fly. Ostriches use their wings to maintain their balance as they run at speeds up to 43 mph. They are omnivores and eat plants, roots and seeds but will also eat insects, lizards and other small animals they can chase down. More Info
